Who we are
“What are you waiting for” the blog tells the tales of our (Martin and I) journey from corporate life to grey nomading the seas. We established the blog and its registered business name under my company, 1st Call Consulting Pty Ltd. This has turned out well as the blog gains the benefits of 1st Call’s systems as well as our Privacy Policy.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
Only staff from “What are you waiting for” are allowed to upload posts and images. We only use images we have taken ourselves and or have the rights to use (purchased or expressed). Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
We can be contacted by the contact form on our web site. This is answered by us personally.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

We may share your data across our blog site (this site), Facebook site and Instagram site. We do not share your data with third parties.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Visitor comments are checked through an automated spam detection service. Spam comments are deleted for the site. Visitor comments are moderated before they are published to the web.

What data breach procedures we have in place
We use two professional services firms. One keeps all our security up today and maintains the day to day security activities. While the other assist us with strategical for special projects and new initives. EG Helping ensure we have everything in place to meet the on-going changes in this data world.
If a breech were to occur, we would:
- Take the site down.
- Scan the environment and assess the situation.
- Confirm the administrators details (no mew admins or changes to email etc) are not hacked and if so we would go to the appropriate service providers, (Nexcess) and establish our identity.
- Get the pros in to help clean up the site (Malware clean up, blacklist removal)
- Switch the site back on, test
- Ensure all security and other plugs in are are reinstated

We received data feeds from our “What are you waiting for live your life” Facebook and Instagram Sites.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
We have no automated decision-making or profiling activities on our site.
